Comic Life
If not done already, I would highly suggest downloading the software, "Comic Life." My video group has started to incorporate images from a video and combine them with comic images. With this software, you can create comics and put little blurbs into the comic bubbles. There are tons of fonts, texts, differeny color schemes, different bubbly drawings, and tons of enhancement that you can put into your comic. I have been "fooling" around with it and have found it to be helpful and amazing. There are also cool sound effects when you insert new items into your comic. Very interactive and cool! Give it a try! Let me know, if you give it a try, how it works out for you! If you need help withi it, let me know because I have explored various effects to use and am pretty familiar with it now!

Although I am doing a remix video on a movie for my final project, I did take a look at the comic life website. I am going to download it in my class tomorrow and check it out. Since my students are really into Diary of a Wimpy Kid, this seems like a great site to incorporate into writing activities. I will post back after I explore it further. Thanks for the insight!

ReplyDeleteAfter went over the Windows Movie Maker instructions, I feel more confident in making my video project. Movie Maker provides more than enough functions to make a movie. It is video creating/editing software included in Microsoft Windows. It provides features such as transitions, special effects, titles/credits, audio track, and more. For a naive film maker like me, Movie Maker is a sufficient tool. This is the very first movie I am going to make. Movie Maker includes about 60 transitions and 28 special effects for the video clips. But since transitions will overlap the clips about one second, it is better to start the filming a few seconds before and keep filming a few seconds in every end to allow some overlap between scenes. Some special effects are very interesting and useful, such as speed up a clip using Speed Up and you can add a single effect multiple times to increase the effect. The how-to instruction is very clear and easy to follow. If your movie clip is too long, movie maker offers several ways to trim a clip. This is what I am looking for so far.
